100 Days of Code & Fitness Recap

What a journey!

100 Days of Code and Fitness came to an end on April 10. Although I really wanted to post a weekly update, it quickly became evident that this was just not going to happen. Life happens! Nevertheless my journey this year was nothing short of amazing!

This time around, I set some basic goals and basic structure to help me stay organized on the big picture.

My #100DaysOfCode goals was to really immerse myself in javascript and Lightning Web Components. Just as a reminder here was my rough schedule:

  • 1-30 Days – Work Through a few javascript Bootcamps
  • 31- 61 Days – Work on the #javascript30 course
  • 62-100- Work on Lightning Web Components.

My Reality

For the first 30 days, I started off with trailhead doing javascript badges, with the deadline for lightning champions fastly approaching, one of the prerequisites was to complete the App Customization Specialist. Got that Super badge on Day 6, and from there I worked on completing my javascript bootcamps as well I had set my eye on a new goal, get my Service Cloud Certification.

On #Day25, I completed the Accelerated JavaScript Training , what I found extremely helpful was the project that came a long with the course.

For the next 30 days,  I continued with the javascript and service cloud trails and on #Day48 got my Service Cloud Certificate . During this period I also got another Superbadge, the Service Cloud Specialist. As well getting familiar with Lightning Web Components.

For the last 40 days, this is where 100 Days really pick up pace. I did a deep dive into Lightning Web Component, Made an app based on the last project in #javascript30 course and started focusing on getting my Community Cloud Exam. My hope was to have an update about this exam, but still have not gotten time to go take the exam.

For  #100DaysOfFitness the goal here is to gradually build up to doing a minimum of an hour of activity daily.  Just as a reminder here was my rough schedule:

  • 1-30 Days – 30 minutes minimum of either walking, biking, cardio, lifting or a combination).
  • 31-61 – 45 minutes minimum of either walking, biking, cardio, lifting or a combination).
  • 62- 100 – 60 minutes minimum of either walking, biking, cardio, lifting or a combination).

My Reality

This year, although I was not able to get a consistent hour of daily fitness, I did manage to get my average up by 15 minutes overall and that something.

Overall

I also had more energy this time around and still continue to exercise in some form daily which has been wonderful! All in all, I accomplished the majority of what I set out to do and I feel Great!

Overall this challenge was a great way to kick of the year. Check out  my github daily log for the full detail  and of course my twitter to see my past progression.
